I love what you did with this tune, I wish all minecraft songs had this kind of depth and feel. I only wish is were longer and had more parts. Thanks for sharing! This is well done.

TsetsukenMusic responds:

I might actually consider working on more Minecraft songs sometime in the future (possibly extend this one as well) - Maybe someday.
Thank you!

I love it.

I love your little short story, goes perfectly with the song, I read it at the right pace. It's very powerful.

Echo responds:

Yay! Glad you liked the story. I tried to time it with the music to go along with the ebb and flow of the piece, not sure if i succeeded....

Still, glad you liked the piece! Tks for the Review!

Interesting..

you get a 7, for good quality and fair dynamics, but you lose points in the repetition of the song.
So you make some more variety with this and you'll see better marks from me.

OpenLight responds:

Of course, with many songs there is not much repetition throughout, so I can see how you may believe how that is always a bad thing.

SOMETIMES, however, and artist may choose to take a melody and repeat it almost entirely throughout their music. Take many of Daft Punk's songs, for example. They take one base melody often and just do stuff with it, and they are all good songs.

Now, I always appreciate a review, but I purposely made this song to be repetitive in many aspects. Notice, though, how it doesn't flat out repeat the same crap, but it is altered in at least 1 way during many of the phrases.

Thank you, but I won't sacrifice my composition style for higher marks from you.

Your review is appreciated.

This made me LOL hardcore, The backing voices just about killed me.
Good job.

Bobomatic responds:

This means a lot to me. Mostly because the one thing I want to hear whenever I write songs like this is "I LOL'd hardcore," You know what Kyle said?

Meh

That's all I got.

A Meh

You know how I sent this to him? As a ringtone. He got a ringtone like this (and I EQ'd it properly for cell phones and everything) and all he said was "Meh". I'll admit I like you more than I like Kyle and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

GP6 Rocks

I just had to comment, because I use GP6 as well with my work, you can check it out if you want.
Since I know GP6, i know you can do better with the quality.
you need to play around with guitar sounds, as well as adding dynamics to it.
But the score sounds like it could be good, just fine tune the sounds.

I wanna...

I wanna hear the best quality version of this. It would rock my socks, as well as my speakers. :P

InvisibleObserver responds:

I'll send you a link to the fixed up version when I get around to fixing it up.

I like A capella..

You did a great job with this, but it seemed weak at times. Like some of the voices, like the cymbal crashes needed more feeling.
If you came on a little stronger full marks for you.

I liked it.

The drums need some work, in variance. I found that the drums were noticeably repetitive, and in some spots it sounded like the beat didn't work with the rest of the music.
Everything else sounds good. I enjoy the tune through this piece.

oddfellowfloyd responds:

Those 'spots' WERE the variations, they were randomized drum fills and measures, along with the pitch changes in the snare drums. Jungle/DnB tends to have that repetition, with sometimes subtle variations in fills and whatnot.

Glad you liked the tune though! ;)

That particular 5-hit drumbeat was inspired by Current Value. Check out their stuff on amazon or itunes. You'll see! ;)
